It is never easy to bid adieu to Bollywood because it takes years of blood, sweat, and perseverance to making it big in the world of movies and Bollywood industry.

So, what made actor Vikrant Massey abruptly take the decision of retirement and that just at the age of 37 has left everyone wondering?

Earlier we witnessed the most heartbreaking tragedy happening with actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was at the peak of success in the Bollywood industry, yet he chose to commit suicide and no reason came out even after a strong investigation into his suicidal case.

Before that, prominent Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra also left the B-town for Hollywood whereafter she never even did a music video or web-series in Bollywood industry.

At the same time, we can never forget Priyanka Chopra’s Podcast in US wherein she quoted her exit saying how she was being pushed into a corner in the (Hindi Film) industry. She had people not casting her for reasons that she was not good at playing games so she kind of got tired of the politics.

Therefore, at that time when people started asking if Bollywood’s elite and mighty stars ganged up against PeeCee and showed her the exit, here actor Shekhar Suman came in her support and said that Priyanka’s sensational revelation has not come as a shocker and it is well know the way the cabal within the film industry functions.

Moreover, he also made the shocking revelation regarding SSR saying, the industry politics will oppress, suppress and persecute you till you are finished and this happened with Sushant Singh Rajput also.

Shekhar Suman went on elaborating that he and his son Adhyayan Suman had also been victims to ‘Gangs of Bollywood’ and he knows at least 4 people in the industry who have ganged up against him and his son.

More names like this, are actress Somy Ali who quit Bollywood career and settled in US to become an activist for women’s safety. Actress Meera Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra revealed how Bollywood gets a bit tougher because it’s extremely camp oriented and breaking into this camp is tough.

Actress Shanthi Priya, who gave up her acting career after she married actor Siddarth Roy in 1999 also affirms the thought that Bollywood has it’s camps and they make a difference in success and failure of an artist and any new artist should know this very clearly that once you step into Bollywood, despite your talent, you will need to have a group or a camp that keeps promoting you or you won’t last long.

Amid giving back-to-back hit films like 12th Fail, Sector 36 and The Sabarmati Report, Vikrant Massey has suddenly announced his retirement at the age of 37 even when his two films 'Yaar Jigri' and 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan' are yet to be released.

All in all, the competitive and sometimes toxic environment of Bollywood can lead to burnout and disillusionment. Though he says the reason behind his decision is that he wants to focus on his family, does this really justify his abrupt move?
