Indian Cricket Team’s Shreyas Iyer admitted in ICU
Shreyas Iyer is Indian Cricket Team Vice captain in ODI. He is often seen as one of the most powerful players of the Indian cricket team.Iyer took a brilliant running catch to dismiss Alex Carey but ended up hurting his left rib cage in the process.
He was in discomfort immediately after the catch but continued the fielding. Once the team was back in the dressing room Shreyas Iyer was rushed to hospital as the doctors suspected something wrong.
Shockingly doctors later confirmed internal bleeding caused by the impact. He is currently in ICU and been taken care of by the medical team. “He’s stable now, but it could have been dangerous if not treated in time,” the source said, praising the swift action taken by the BCCI medical team.

He will remain in Sydney till he recovers completely and later back to India.Fortunately, he is not part of India’s T20 squad, which gives him some breathing room to recover fully.
