It seems Pakhi, again and again, talks to her friends on the call where there is something she needs to discuss with Anupama.
Hence Pakhi was waiting for Anupama and she wanted to meet her on New Year's Eve to demand something big.

Pakhi informs Anupama that she wants to go abroad for future studies that is in New York.
Pakhi feels all her friends are going abroad and she will be left behind all alone.
Pakhi wants Anupama to seek permission from Vanraj Bapuji
Hence she also wants to explore the country and study there with her friends.
Anupama looks shocked but does not react to Pakhi's saying.
Also Pakhi asks Anupama to seek permission from Vanraj and Bapuji.
