Star Plus planned Ishani as a storyline of their ongoing show Jhanak at first but then the fans’ interest made it grow into a separate serial with new timings.
With Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi taking over the 10:30 PM time slot, Jhanak has shifted to 11:00 PM and Ishani is ready to air from 7:20 PM on the channel.
Megha Chakraborty has been playing of Ishani and now she will have a new male co-star who is ready to enter the story.
Ishani’s life was destroyed because of a traumatic event caused by a man named Jeet who tried to marry her after kidnapping her from the time when she visited Jhanak’s village.
Ishani ended up fighting the guys but her life got ruined because the college threw her out of there without her getting the chance to finish her studies.
With everyone treating her like a criminal and questioning her character, Ishani got married to a much older man who has a daughter named Pihu.
This new story will explore Ishani’s life where she is bound in a loveless marriage with her husband while having a step-daughter of the same age.
Anurag will be the professor of Ishani who has a past of being lovers with her and their reencounter brings back older memories to cause pain to both of them.
Ishani is ready to move forward in her life as her dream is to be an IPS officer but her husband does not seem to support that dream with good intentions in his mind.
With Anurag coming into the picture, will Ishani be able to get out of the wedding that has been binding her to burdens and duties all her life?
