Kumkum Bhagya Latest News: Zee TV might shut down Kumkum Bhagya after IPL ends because of poor viewership ratings
Zee TV’s iconic show Kumkum Bhagya is in danger of going off-air with the repeated low TRP being a regular pattern despite the makers trying their best to boost it with new twists and turns. With the IPL still ongoing, Kumkum Bhagya has got a low TRP of 1.0 the past week which is very low for a prime time 9PM daily soap.
The channel has put Kumkum Bhagya under the scanner for not performing the way it should even after all the big names cast in the story. Pranali Rathod is playing the female lead of Prarthana after getting fame from her role of Akshara in YRKKH. Akshay Bindra was announced as the male lead but he has been replaced by Namik Paul in the recent episodes.
Fans have shown overwhelming love toward the newly formed pair of Namik Paul and Pranali Rathod as Shivansh and Prarthana. However, the show is failing to show a growth in the TRP ranking because of less audience and other shows giving tough competition.
Udne Ki Aasha airs on Star Plus at the same time slot and is a table topper, while Mangal Lakshmi is also a strong contender to overcome Colors TV. After the IPL gets over, the show might be forced to wrap up quickly after airing for a decade.
Prarthana and Shivansh's story to end earlier?
Kumkum Bhagya is now the longest-running show of Zee TV and the fans are not ready to bid goodbye to the new pairing so soon as the story is just getting started. The makers also brought Shraddha Arya and Shakti Anand in the show to boost viewership.
However, the decision will be taken after the IPL ends which will seal the fate of Kumkum Bhagya about it getting another chance or getting a dead end. Are you in favour of the show going off-air or against the makers for wrapping it up early?
