The show is based on a middle aged woman named Anupama and the hardship she faces in life to keep her family together. Anupama is still healing in life as she faced huge betrayal from the man she married for 26 years. She was also unlucky in her love as her second marriage also fell apart as Anuj Kapadia went missing suddenly and Anupama and rest of the family considered him dead.

Anupama is living a very content life with her children. She got her daughter married Rahi married to the love of her life and faced many setbacks. Rahi and Prem come across as perfect couple as Prem loves Rahi more than anyone. However, their love will soon be doomed as Prerna is going to enter their perfect equation. Shockingly during Holi celebration Anupama will get the biggest shock of her life.

She will be seeing Prem and Prerna in an intimate situation and will go back in her past as she saw Vanraj and Kavya in similar situation and that incident changed her life forever. She will see Kavya in Prem and will also be forced to compare Prem with Vanraj who ruined his marriage of many years for Kavya.
