Chennai Super Kings is continuing to have a bad season from the beginning of this year’s IPL Championship.

CSK had its first win against Mumbai Indians, where they won the match by 4 wickets while chasing a score of 155 runs made by the MI team.

The team was defeated by a huge margin of 50 runs on its second match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their home turf, the Chepauk Stadium, which left the fans disappointed.

From thereon, CSK has lost 4 matches consecutively and is currently standing in the 9th position on the table, being the second-lowest scoring team.

CSK has failed to chase the opposing team’s runs four times, which has led to their defeat.

Fans and many experts have expressed their opinions regarding CSK’s performance and have blamed the batting order that has failed to perform.

Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra, who step in as the openers for the team, have not shown a good performance since the start of the 2025 season.

Aside from the match against PBKS, the openers’ best combined performance was a low score of 18 runs.

The experts suggest that CSK should change their opening batting lineup to get a good start while batting in the match, as the current combination is not working well.

The middle order is held in place with Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni being prominent players, but they should step up in the order if the other players are not showing the desired performance.
