Star Plus to roll out a new show from Leena Gangopadhyay with Megha Chakrabarty playing the female lead, details revealed
Star Plus’s show Advocate Anjali Awasthi is set to go off-air after the IPL season ends which will make way for new shows to air on the channel. The channel is going to introduce many shows on television with the end of the IPL which will help them to boost their viewership on a daily basis.
Advocate Anjali Awasthi was the Hindi remake of the Bengali serial Geeta LLB which aired on Star Jalsha. With the recent trend of Bengali remakes getting famous, the show succeeded to make a decent impact with its TRP ranging between 1.3 to 1.5 every week.
With the recent track of Aman and Anjali, viewers are losing interest in the show which has led the channel to wrap up the serial. Aman and Anjali’s story will end soon within the next month with the announcement of another show replacing that time slot.
It has been reported that a new Leena Gangopadhyay show, the same producer as Jhanak, is going to air soon on Star Plus. The show will have Megha Chakraborty as the main female lead and is set to air at the prime 8:30 PM slot.
Megha Chakraborty to continue her character Ishani in new show?
Megha Chakraborty recently entered the show Jhanak as a new character Ishani which might have been a strategic move by the makers to warm up the stage for the new show announcement. It will be interesting if Megha Chakraborty is seen as Ishani in this new show with her separate storyline and characters.
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but the promo of the new show will drop very soon on the social media handles of the channel. The male lead has not been revealed to the audience along with the name of the serial which has made the fans excited for the announcement.
