Earthquake near Russia, Japan with magnitude of 7.5

United State authorities cancelled out tsunami warnings on Wednesday after an earthquake with magnitude 7.8 struck off Russia’s Kuril Island.

But on other hand, over the same meteorological officials in Japan issued no alerts over earthquake, although they have explained that there might be slight tidal changes.

Also the Japan meteorological agency said that the earthquake may cause the changes in the sea levels around Japan costs .

Well, despite of other information Pacific Tsunami warning center declared that quake had the potential to generate a destructive tsunami.

It is also said that earthquake of this strength in the past times have caused the tsunami far from the epicenter.
