Veteran actor Asrani was one of the most looked upon actor and comedian of his time. He worked in the industry for almost 5 decades before finally taking a back seat due to his health issues.
Asrani died on Monday due to old age health related issues. He was not feeling well for a long time and finally left for heavenly abode. He has left behind a rich and glorious memories if movies.
One of his best movies were Sholay where he played the character of a jailer and his dialogue, “Hum Angrez Ke zamane Ke Jailer Hai” touched many hearts and is still remembered as one of the most iconic movies in Indian cinema.
His final rites were performed at Santacruz Crematorium in Mumbai, attended by close family members and a few industry colleagues.
May his soul rest in peace.
