Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has introduced a new track for the viewers in the recent episodes with Armaan living a new life in the faraway destination of Mount Abu. Armaan lives with Maera on rent with Dadu and Gitanjali who own the property.
Armaan is still an overprotective father to her daughter even though seven years have passed by and he tends to act illogically in matters with Maera involved in it. Gitanjali has stepped up as Maera’s main friend and babysitter for the times when Armaan is not present at home because of his job.
Maera tends to call Gitanjali by her nickname Gitu but sometimes, she even calls Gitanjali her mother which does not make Armaan feel good. Armaan still allows Gitanjali to stay close to Maera when he had run away from Abhira in the past.
Armaan feels the need for a serious talk with Gitanjali after he notices that Maera is heavily dependent on Gitanjali emotionally which can get burdensome at times. Armaan tells Gitanjali that it is totally fine if she feels exhausted or worn out by taking care of Maera all the time.
Gitanjali assures Armaan that she does everything for Maera because she likes to do it and there is no other reason behind the actions. Without revealing her hidden feelings for Armaan, Gitanjali indicates that Maera has been very special to her since the start.
Armaan feels comforted hearing such a statement from Gitanjali and thanks her for always looking out for his daughter. Armaan even says that Gitanjali does not demand anything in return from him after the work she puts into spending time with Maera.
