Jhanak Latest News: Arjit Taneja and Riya Sharma to become the main leads after 20-year leap in the show
Jhanak has been slipping from its top ranks in the TRP charts with the viewers not liking the current track of Anirudh and Jhanak getting separated. To boost the viewership of the show and bring in a new and fresh storyline, the makers have decided to introduce a generation leap of 20 years in the show.
It has been confirmed by the main leads that the current cast is going to make an exit from the show after wrapping up the love story between Anirudh and Jhanak. The fans are excited to see a happy ending between Anirudh and Jhanak after they have struggled so much to stay together since the beginning of the story.
Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye fame Arjit Taneja had been reported to play the male lead of Jhanak after the big leap while the female lead was still unconfirmed. As per the latest reports, Riya Sharma is set to play the female lead opposite Arjit Taneja after the 20 year time skip in the story.
Riya Sharma was last seen as the main lead in Sony SAB’s Dhruv Tara and Star Plus’s Banni Chow Delivery between 2022-2023. Now she is set to make her comeback after a break in the new role of Jhanak’s daughter to carry on the legacy of the show.
Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab's farewell to Jhanak
The casting is still going on but these two actors are almost locked by the makers as the new leads which will make them proceed with the climax of the current generation. Anirudh and Jhanak’s story is soon going to get wrapped up, after which Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab will bid goodbye to the show after playing the same characters since 2023.
The viewers are also excited to see what new characters and storylines the makers manage to present with these two new actors taking on the responsibility as the main leads. It is expected that Jhanak will shot up in the TRP chart with this leap decision from the makers.
