Indian Premier League 2025: Phil Salt gives an explosive start for RCB in the power play.

In today’s match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, RCB takes home an easy win for the team.

Rajasthan Royals batted first in the first innings and managed to establish a target score of 173 runs for RCB to chase.

Despite Yasasvi Jaiswal’s high score of 75 runs in 47 balls, the run rate of RR failed to take gear, stopping their total score below 200.

The bowlers of Royal Challengers Bangalore showed an impeccable performance with their effective economic rates, not giving away runs.

With the fairly low score to chase, RCB takes a one-sided win with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli being the key scorers for the team.

Phil Salt gives an explosive start with his hitting boundaries and sixes and gets caught after making 65 runs in 33 balls.

Virat Kohli takes the responsibility to finish the match with ease as he scores 62 runs in 45 balls without getting caught till the end of the match.

Devdutt Padikkal finishes the game with an amazing partnership with Kohli, with some boundaries coming from his bat.

The bowling squad of RR fails completely to get quick wickets, which would have built pressure on RCB to increase their run rate.

With only 1 wicket taken by the young bowler Kartikya, RCB wins the chase with chase master Virat Kohli finishing the game easily with his skills.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore climbs to the 3rd position on the points table with 8 points on their side.

Sanju Samson states that RCB had a great powerplay, which became their key to victory in this match, accompanied by some dropped catches from RR’s side.
