Lupin episode 3 spoilers: Assane kidnaps commissioner Dumont

Episode 3 is all about the interrogation of commissioner Dumont, the one in charge of the case of Babakar.

Assane has planted camera everywhere in Dumont’s house and is observing his daily activities.

Next he shows up at his office pretending to be a technician.

He eventually gets successful in kidnapping Dumont and ties him up. Assane begins questioning him about Babakar’s case.

Dumont however, remains stubborn that he has done nothing wrong forcing Assane to reveal several wrongdoings of his past life.

Although Dumont accept to those, he still sticks to his previous confession that he has nothing to do with Babakar’s case.

Assane eventually leaves Dumont alone.

Once the story of commissioner’s kidnaping is out police begins the hunt for him.

Investigator Guedira who first links the case with that of Arsene Lupin heists works out the hiding location and manages to find commissioner.

Once Dumont reaches his home, he throws away all the hidden cameras.

Dumont’s real side is revealed

Later he remembers how he had confronted Hubert Pellegrini about the theft. Since the insurance for necklace was increased just few days ago, he suspected Hubert to plan the theft himself.

Dumont tells Hubert Pellegrini that he will search for the truth and Babakar would soon be proven innocent.

Hubert then threatens his family which forced Dumont to hide his truth.

He also suggested to Mrs. Pellegrini to get a signed confession from Babakar.

However, she knew nothing about their conspiracy.

In present Dumont calls Mr. Pellegrini about the necklace and tells him that there is another party involved.

This gets recorded in his house device (sort of like google home manager), which was tempered by Assane.

He hears everything. Episode also gives story of young Assane and how he meets Claire and two got connected.
